Our History...
In 1891, a few people meeting in a Rogers Park basement marked the beginning of Rogers Park Baptist Church. The present building was built on the corner of Greenleaf Avenue and Wolcott Street in 1919. It burned to the ground on Good Friday 1935, and was rebuilt a year later.
As Rogers Park has changed, so has Rogers Park Baptist Church. We are an ethnically diverse congregation with a rich mosaic of people who have come to Chicago from around the world. We share a common bond of love for God and each other, made possible only by the shed blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
